Case study 2 - Employer of Choice programme
A set of key shared values, beliefs and rituals that best described the organisation were identified.
Our client, a highly successful organisation was finding it increasingly difficult to fulfil its potential for growth and to achieve its business objectives as a result of specialist skill shortages. Socius was appointed to devise and implement an Employer of Choice programme in order to overcome this block to business success.
We worked closely with our client to answer the classic strategic planning questions: Where are we now? Where do we want to be? How do we get there? This was achieved through a variety of activities, initially involving a detailed exploration of how the organisation was handling the recruitment, selection and retention of staff. In particular, how the organisation was being 'sold' to candidates and how new recruits were being welcomed and inducted into the team.
After gaining a clear understanding of the image the firm was projecting of itself as an employer, we went on to identify a set of key shared values, beliefs and rituals that best described the organisation - the Employer of Choice brand messages. Subsequent activity was to create a journey plan/process map to start the process of 'Living the Brand' with clearly defined actions together with objectives, and then reviewing, revising and strengthening every form of internal and external communication in line with the EOC branding.
