Case study 1 - Rebranding of an International Group
This project involved every aspect of rebranding. Research and strategic planning established solid foundations.
Socius was appointed by the US based Group President of a $325m group of UK and US companies owned by a British Plc. The President, who wished to rename and rebrand the Group, commissioned Socius to undertake the strategic planning and subsequent work required to bring this major development in the Group's lifecycle to fruition. The rebranding was complex as it had to allow for and illustrate the relationships between the Plc, the Group and the strong identities of each of the operating businesses, as well as future acquisitions.
This project involved every aspect of re-branding. Research and strategic planning established the solid foundations needed to develop the rationale for the name change and subsequent rebranding, for which main board approval was then sought and given. We explored the organisation's relationships, brand values and USPs and this helped inform the creation of the Group's branding and corporate identity guidelines.
The scope of the project also included the creation and implementation of a communications strategy to introduce the new name of the Group to all stakeholders (on a worldwide scale), and the design and construction of a website to showcase the Group.
